Cox Kibedi, a 48-year-old resident residing on Kyanja Ring Road, has been remanded at Luzira until February 2, 2024, facing three charges of cyber harassment. The allegations are linked to the purported sharing of an explicit video link on Facebook, targeting Agaba Rebecca. This led to his appearance before Chief Magistrate Samuel Kayiizi at Buganda Road.

In the court proceedings, Kibedi denied the charges, asserting that Facebook operates beyond Uganda’s jurisdiction, rendering the accusations baseless. Despite his denial, the magistrate ordered his remand for further investigation.

This is not the first instance involving Kibedi, as previous records indicate a history of inappropriate behavior towards women dating back to 2021. He is accused of persistently harassing and verbally abusing women who reject his advances, often resorting to offensive language. The accusations include labeling them inappropriately.
