Tragic Discovery: Schoolboy’s Body Found in Crocodile Stomach After Deadly Attack in Ndhiwa

In a tragic incident in Ndhiwa, the body of a schoolboy, who was attacked and devoured by a crocodile while fetching water at the river’s edge, has been found in the reptile’s stomach.

The victim, a student at Omboo Nazarene Academy, had gone to the river on Wednesday for water when the crocodile attacked. Following a two-day search conducted by locals and Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) personnel, the body was discovered on Friday evening after the crocodile was successfully shot dead.

The KWS personnel directed the reptile, leading to the discovery of the boy’s remains. The grieving family positively identified their child’s remains, bringing a sense of closure to this heart-wrenching ordeal.

Ann Onyango, the local administrator, expressed gratitude for the swift response of KWS officers, who efficiently dealt with the reptile and conducted a dissection to locate the boy’s body.

The recovered remains of the schoolboy have been transported to the Homa Bay County Referral Hospital mortuary, where postmortem examinations will be conducted to provide further insights into the tragic incident.
